The model for this beautiful Viking jewellery was found in the Birka burial 967 and was originally made of gilded silver.
The original of this replica of a small disc brooch from Birka is now in the Swedish National Museum, Statens Historiska Museet, Stockholm.
An identical brooch of this type was also found in Norway near Trondheim.
Dimensions of the small Viking disc brooch: 2.6 x 0.8 cm.
These dimensions correspond exactly to the historical original.
You can buy the raven charm in high-quality bronze or genuine silver-plated.
On the back, the Viking jewellery has a solid needle of about 1 mm thickness, which is used to fasten the brooch to the garment, preferably to close the shirt neckline.
The needle is slightly bent.
The Viking brooch has a small eyelet on the back through which a leather strap can be pulled, so that the brooch can also be worn as a pendant.
